# Read your Overview

Use the latest benchmark, competitive trends, cited pages, playbooks, and observed reach without mixing their different measurements.

## At a glance

  1. 1. **Check the latest benchmark**: Read the dated summary and open Results for the captured answers.
  2. 2. **Compare like with like**: Read discovery visibility and head-to-head outcomes in their separate bands.
  3. 3. **Choose the next check**: Open a cited page, playbook, or traffic view for the evidence behind a change.

Open [Overview](https://app.knitknot.ai/overview) after a benchmark has completed. It gives you a reading of the latest measured period and links to the records behind it. When the workspace is still being researched or has no completed benchmark, follow the setup or first-run prompt shown on the page.

## Start with the latest benchmark

The **Latest benchmark** band shows when the most recent results were measured and summarizes what changed. Use its arrow to open **Benchmarks → Results**. Read the captured answers there before treating a movement in a chart as a change in buyer perception.

## Keep the competitive views separate

**Visibility over time** and **Visibility ranking** use discovery answers: questions that do not name your company in advance. **Named in** is the share of those answers that mention a company. The ranking shows your position among the companies observed in that view. Switch to **Citation share** to see the share of cited URLs in discovery answers owned by each company. A mention and a citation are different events.

**Head-to-head over time** and **Head-to-head performance** use comparison answers. The default **Win rate** includes ties in its total; open [the metrics reference](/docs/metrics-reference/) for the formula. The list shows wins, ties, and losses against each rival in the latest measured benchmark. Its **Citation share** lens uses a different population: your share across all comparisons, while each rival's share is within its own matchups. Read the hint beside a chart before comparing percentages across bands.

Point at a company in either ranking to focus its line in the chart beside it. Select its row again to hide or restore that line. Use **View all** when you need the full [head-to-head record](/docs/read-your-report/) or visibility ranking.

## Open the pages and work behind the numbers

**Top cited pages** lists your pages cited in a selected benchmark. Use the previous and next controls to change the benchmark and the prompt lens to change the question set. Open a page row to inspect it; a citation count alone does not show whether the page supports the claim beside it.

**AI Presence** tracks the composite score across all measured answers, with engine lines and markers for shipped playbooks. **Playbooks** lists up to five active actions and links to each detail. A score movement after a ship is a reason to inspect the answers; it does not prove that the playbook caused the movement.

**Observed reach** keeps verified agent fetches and AI-referred visits in separate columns. Those numbers come from connected traffic providers, not from the benchmark answers. Open [Traffic](/docs/read-ai-traffic/) for their sources and limits. A fetch is not a citation, and a citation is not a visit.
